    Monkey mind

    The monkey mind describes the state of mind when the mind jumps from one thought to another. Just like a monkey jumps from one branch to another.

    During yoga you calm the mind, also explained as taming the monkey mind. When you have calmed the mind, it is possible to achieve a state of meditation.
