half frog pose / ardha bhekasana
Hi Everyone,
Here a quick video to show you half frog pose/ ardha bhekasana. This pose is amazing to release tension along the front of the thighs and groins. It prepares you for backbends. A great pose to do regularly if you like running a lot. Definitely one of those poses that if done regularly for a while you’ll notice great and quick results!
keep practicing :) Esther

Comment by linda Oct 19, 09, 5:42 pmI am a runner and I’d really like to be able to do this pose but I’m not flexible enough. When I try to bend my hand around I can’t push my foot because I cannot flex my leg enough. Is there another pose that you would recommend instead or a modification for beginners to release in the upper thighs?

Comment by rachael Nov 23, 09, 4:15 amHi Esther, I agree with all that this excercise is really great. Frog pose is nice and fun :) How about tight feets and areas around ankles? Which pose could help increase strength around knees?
Comment by Jack Feb 22, 10, 7:09 pmIf you have never done the headstand before. Learn it under the supervision of a yoga teacher! Don’t do it if your neck hurts!
