Yoga Video for Weight Loss
Hi Everyone,
Here’s a yoga routine to help you stay positive in your quest to lose weight. To lose weight you need to eat less, eat healthy and exercise. Also most likely you need to have a look at your subconscious beliefs around food, yourself and your weight. (Since creating this video I have added a new short sequence on Weight Loss Visualisation.) This video will help you with the exercise part.

The poses you repeat in this sequence are:
- mountain pose / tadasana
- chair pose or powerful pose / utkatasana
- standing forward bend / uttanasana
- downward facing dog pose / adho mukha svanasana
- warrior I / virabhadrasana
- garland pose / malasana

!! New Updated Weightloss Series !!
Time and again the question of weightloss has come up in the comments and questions people have sent me. To try and answer this as best I can I have created a more detailed four part series on “Yoga and Weightloss”.
Yoga for weight loss series:
Part 1 – Visualisation of the series is still in a way the most important exercise, because if your subconscious mind stops believing that you can and will be healthier, stronger and thinner soon, than you can exercise and work out al you want but it won’t happen or stay.

Part 2 – Getting Moving! is also important because it works on getting you to move more, so work on yourself believing it and then go and do the work!
Part 3 Abs and Core This is all about stomach and abs routines which are very effective for strenghtening your core and trimming your tummy…
Part 4 Thighs and Butt This video focuses on burning it off your thighs and butt – and enjoyable yoga routine

You would be very welcome, I have a lovely holiday chalet on the land for rent. As well we are thinking about organizing a yoga week next summer, don’t know the location yet though!

I loved your video. I wish you put more videos for Lose weight, because for many women like me being overweight is a relly serious problem and losing it with a relaxing way like yoga is really easy.

We are working on my dvd at the moment, almost finished….

not the hour yet, but you could fit the arms and abs in after the standing postures and the warm up before everything. That should give you an hour.

i started out doing the yoga videos for beginners on youtube. its really helped a lot i lost three pounds already, which is great because i have asthama and even my ballet makes me weeze. i would love to see more videos like this and more for beginners. there amazing and you are wonderful. thank you so much.

Comment by Esther Aug 11, 09, 8:05 amIt is possible to do yoga at almost any age! Definitely at 12 its a great time to start doing yoga! There is also yoga for teenagers and yoga for children. Have a look out maybe for a class nearby you, its the best to learn from a life teacher, but if not, work away with video’s and stuff.
keep at it, it will bring you al lot. I started more or less when I was your age.

I would like to get more flexible in my hips and legs, I find it difficult to transition from downgod to warior or to bring my feet between my hands.
What do you recomend?

Comment by Chelsi Mar 17, 10, 6:48 pmBy doing Yoga , one can increase body fitness ,muscle strength and keep the body flexible.Yoga alone is not a good idea to loose weight, as mentioned in the article it should be combined with exercises to keep track on weight loss.
I would definitely bookmark this blog , as all the exercises videos are amazing which helps to control weight.
