I'm glad you like my youtube video's.
About your question, I know the feeling a little, and especially in the
morning its the worst!
Still it is also the best time to do something about it, however maybe in
the morning only focus on stretching that part out very gently to start
with, have a look at my video "yoga for neck pain" to get an idea. If you
practice stretching that part every day for a while, it will soon become
easier! If possible the next stretch would be slowly rolling the body down,
use your stomach muscles to support your back as you do that. What I mean
with slowly rolling down is you're standing up, and you let your chin go to
your chest (as far as possible) and that your head goes down first, your
shoulders follow, the upper body, till your hanging forward from the hips,
like a rag doll. You might have to bend your knees to be comfortable, thats
fine. Make sure your head and neck are loose.
I'm afraid no quick fix, just sticking with it, and if you do it will get
better, and than all the other video's become easier to do.
You can of course treat yourself to a massage as well. Tell the therapist
about it, and that also might make the world of difference!
Good luck and let me know how you get on, don't push yourself and just focus
on this part of you now, the rest will come later!
Yogatic!

The reasin being if i stand up straight even a movement as small as looking at the floor stretches the whole of my central and lower back. This makes it ver uncomfortable to stretch. Do you have any roccomendations on how to get over this?Kind reagrds,Louis Thompson

Hi Esther.

Just like to say i really enjoy your you-tube videos.

I would like some advice if possible.

I am a judo player and so need to be strong and flexible so naturally i think yoga will be great (along side running and weight training).

When i wak up early in the morning i find it very difficult to srtetch. Congrats on your YouTube success! I love the way you're doing the video's.
Very professional, and with a lovely energy. It takes something more than just being an outstanding yoga-teacher to do this stuff right, and you make it look so easy...;)
